NCSOFTS new MMOS: Project TL is to make Lost Ark 2022 competition

Publisher NCSoft is an old bunny in the MMO business. With lineage, the first online role-playing game of the South Korean company went online in 1998. These were followed by other titles such as Lineage 2, Guild Wars, Aion, Guild Wars 2 and Blade & Soul, which are still available now. Other projects such as Master X Master, City of Heroes, Tabula Rasa or Wildstar had less luck.

Also in the present and future NCSoft wants to remain true to the MMO genre. In December 2021 with Lineage2M only a new MMO for mobile and PC has gone online . A second project listens to the name Lineage W and will soon receive the first episode with the aden update (on February 23, 2022).

What games otherwise currently at NCSoft are in work, which recently betrayed the responsible persons in the course of a great announcement (via massive telyop). Here are the overview:

• Project E : A new, cineastically staged MMORPG.
• Project R : a colorful, melee-focused Battle-Royale game.

• The already known Project TL , behind which a retreading of Lineage Eternal is stuck and that should appear in the second half of 2022 for PC and consoles.

• Project M : A cineastically staged action game.

• Blade and soul S : A single player RPG for collecting fans playing in the world of Blade and Soul.

Project TL Versus Lost Ark

From second 50 you can see some scenes from the Project TL and certainly not only feels at the recordings some Lost-Ark Vibes. But that's not surprising. Already the first gameplay trailer from 2017 struck into a comparable notch, with the isometric view, the strong staging and the masses of opponents.

The Action-RPG-MMO hybrid was announced for the first time in 2011, but the feedback during the test phases in 2016 was so desirable that NCSoft has raised the project from scratch. Only a few of the features originally planned for lineage have been preserved. According to my MMO, there is an indication of a concrete release date. For GeForce Now, there is to give the specification that Project TL will appear on July 21, 2022. Of course, it could also be a placeholder.
